Woodworker Hayley Davison honors the natural
beauty of fine hardwoods integrating their patterns
and colors into quietly elegant furniture designs
fusing American Mission style with Japanese
influences.
Trained at North Bennett Street School in
Boston, Hayley builds her furniture with
traditional joinery and detailed craftsmanship.
After 14 years crafting wood on the island of
Kauai, Hayley moved with her family to Asheville,
North Carolina, where she continued her custom
woodworking in the Grovewood Studios next door to
the historic Grove Park Inn.
Hayley was featured with new works in the
exhibition
Artists New to Asheville along
with 7 other area artisans at the Grovewood Gallery
in Asheville.
In May 2011 she relocated her shop in Asheville.
She continues to exhibit at the
Grovewood Gallery, and was
accepted into the
Southern
Highland Craft Guild, and will be exhibiting at
the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands October
20-23, 2011 at the Asheville Civic Center.
