Since 1981 I have had twelve works added to the collection of the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. In 2001, I was honored to be one of the Kauai artists included in the inaugural exhibition of the Hawaii State Art Museum in Honolulu.

About the paintings:

My paintings are inspired by the "islandscape" of Kauai, especially the rugged coast and deep valleys of Na Pali, and the raincarved ridges of Waialeale and Makaleha surrounding my home.
    I paint with acrylic and watercolor on canvas and paper. I work in the studio from memory and sketches done on location. This way impressions, remembrance, and imagination can play a larger role, and the paintings become more focused, more honed to their basic essence. I see my paintings as being, at once, realistic, impressionistic, abstracted, and imagined.
