- "Precious
Resources - The Land & The Sea," October 6,
2006 to September 2007 at the Hawaii State Art
Museum, Honolulu. John was one of three Kauai
artists included in this exhibition featuring 51
Hawaii artists exploring our connection to earth
and water, and the impact of the natural
surroundings on the identity, daily lives, and
cultures of Hawai'i.
- John served
as president of the Kauai
Society of Artists in 2006-7. The nonprofit visual
arts organization offers exhibition and
educational opportunities for Kauai's artists,
residents, and visitors.
- In addition
to creating his artwork, John assists his wife
Hayley in her furniture-building business, is
dad to Evan (now 10), makes sure our 3 dogs, 2
cats, and parrot are fed, goes for an occasional
hike or paddle, takes out the trash, and even
updates this website every once in a
while.
