Sculptures in wood and mixed media explore the artist's relationship to nature, family, and life with humor and whimsy.

Current and recent exhibitions and events:

• Moving to Asheville, NC in late September 2009.
• 2004-2009 showing at Davison Arts Gallery in Kapaa, Kauai.
• "Precious Resources - The Land & The Sea," October 6, 2006 to September 2007 at the Hawaii State Art Museum, Honolulu. John was one of three Kauai artists included in this exhibition featuring 51 Hawaii artists exploring our connection to earth and water, and the impact of the natural surroundings on the identity, daily lives, and cultures of Hawai'i.
• John served as president of the Kauai Society of Artists for the '06/'07 year. The nonprofit visual arts organization offers exhibition and educational opportunities for Kauai's artists, residents, and visitors. He continues to be active with the organization.
• In addition to creating his artwork, John runs the Davison Arts gallery, assists his wife Hayley in her furniture-building business, is dad to Evan (now 9), makes sure our 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 birds are fed, goes for an occasional hike or swim, takes out the trash, and even updates this website every once in a while.
